Endowments for Nonprofits

Our research indicated that fewer than 10% of Utah nonprofits have an endowment, and by the middle of the recession most had used up their existing reserves.

Alarmed by this news, the Board of Directors took an extraordinary step: the Foundation will establish organizational endowments on behalf of Utah's nonprofits with no administrative fees. We are grateful for the support of GE Financial Capital and the Utah Financial Services Foundation, representing Utah's CRA banks, for their support.

We are committed to expanding philanthropic resources and ensuring the long term financial health of Utah's nonprofit sector. Endowments are an important component of an integrated development strategy. They make funding more stable and predictable endowments and offer an unparalleled way to support your mission forever.
