The Nonprofit Starvation Cycle

Many nonprofits of today are underfunded with regard to overhead and lack good infrastructure to remain afloat. This "The Nonprofit Starvation Cycle" begins with unrealistic expectations as to the requirements for a healthy, stable nonprofit organization and ends with misleading reporting of overhead costs. As the cycle continues, the nonprofit organization is slowly starved and may eventually fail if the issue is not corrected. This article in Stanford Social Innovation Review outlines ways to correct this problem before it is too late.
